On the morning of Joseph K 30th birthday he awakes to find two agents waiting in his room who place him under arrest of a unidentified crime, A crime which he remains uninformed throughout the book.
The novel tracks K’s fight against a bloated bureaucracy contained in the mysterious court located high in airless attics of regular buildings around the city, With each new encounter K’s fate turns toward his final judgement.
My idea was to create the court rooms high in these towers suspended in the middle of a giant Ferris wheel, with each new character he meets he's given new information that turns his fate, but he's unable to meet justice as the courts keep turning, as a special nod one of the towers is the tollbooth steeple located near my studio in Glasgow, built in 1625, criminals were executed here, with the last public hanging in Glasgow being 1865.
